Optimal Blue will deploy a release into the Production Environment on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 10:00 PM CT. No system downtime is expected during the installation of this release. The following enhancements will be included.
Optimal Blue Now Supporting US Territories!
Optimal Blue is excited to announce with this release we will be completing the Lender site updates to provide support for product and pricing searches for US territories. The following US territories will be supported in the State drop down list, including their associated districts and municipalities for county groups:
- American Samoa (AS)
- Guam (GU)
- Northern Mariana Islands (MP)
- Puerto Rico (PR)
- U.S. Virgin Islands (VI)
Configuration Site Updates
Following our May 19th Release our Content Specialist Team began updating Optimal Blue maintained investor content within the Configuration site in support of the US territories. Please note that each investor will receive a new allowable state grid to provide a more uniform approach to state support within each investor.
Optimal Blue clients will have until the June 9th release to ensure any state overlays are migrated to the new state grids where applicable, and any overlays specific to the newly supported US territories are in place within their own portfolio content.
To better assist you with identifying content that may need a review, a new State Grids Configuration report is available listing all rules and overlays using the State scripting variable. In addition, an overlay alert notification will be sent for any rule that is modified so that you can review and take any necessary action. As each investor is updated by our Content Specialist Team, an Investor Alert will be sent indicating that US territories have been implemented within that investor content.
The new System Defined Lists to include or exclude US territories for scripting rules are:
- All States (excluding US Territories)
- States by Abbreviation (including US Territories)
Please Note: The new districts and municipalities within these US territories will also be appropriately evaluated for declining market guidelines, county loan limit requirements and in AMI requirements. A complete list of supported US territory districts and municipalities is available for reference in our US Territories with FIPS Codes document.
Lender Site Updates
With this release, the US territories will be added to the State dropdown list and their associated districts and municipalities will be added to the County dropdown list on the search forms in Lender.
LOS Integration Updates
Supported county data may vary for the US territories pending on your integration Loan Origination System (LOS). We have identified that in some LOS’s the counties for American Samoa are not itemized. For example, when lending in American Samoa, Calyx Point and Encompass will send Optimal Blue “American Samoa” as the county name. Since Optimal Blue supports the four districts in the county dropdown list, customers will have to choose one of the supported counties in order to price. When Optimal Blue sends the lock information back to the LOS the county field will be updated with what is sent from Optimal Blue for Encompass integrated customers or clear the value for Point customers. Please be sure to test your individual LOS with the territories you lend in if the LOS does not support the itemized counties/districts.
Additional Enhancement
Contact Information Added to Assigned Compensation Schedules Report
The Assigned Compensation Schedules Configuration Report will now include the email address and office phone number to provide contact information for the LO assigned to the schedule.
